IDOL!!!

Went to Orchard on sat, n got myself 2 Singapore Idol flags!!

Now, just imagine a Sly flag smiling down at me from the top of the partition of my desk. It's flying high, and everyone in the department can see the flag clearly.

People have been coming over to ask me why i support Sly, and not Taufik, and i must say it's really a good ice-breaker, from the usual work-related topics. And for once, there's no 'generation gap', or 'financial gap' among colleagues. (Financial - cos the people who work longer have more savings, and they can afford to tok about buying branded stuff, and luxury items e.g. cars. In which case, tis also causes the generation gap, since i dun relate to such stuff at all.)

Aniwae, suffice to say that today's a good day! My desk is so much brighter now, with some posters, as well as Sly's flag. hahah..

Side note

I have decided to change the colour of my blog, cos black is so uninspiring. How to believe in life when it's so black rite? Pink is good! It's happier, friendlier and signifies more hope for the future!

Chargeability 61%

There was a meeting held for my whole department today..to discuss our 'chargeability', which is actually, when translated into layman terms, how efficient we r in doing our stuff, such tt everything can be billed to the client.

aniwae, suffice to say tt everyone, except for 2 persons, were all in the red..n that of course, includes yrs truly!

I won't b so 'boi song', if it's only such..the worst ting was tt one of those who cleared the % mark set, is ms xx, the one who has been terrorising me at work. i really dun tink it's fair how they calculate the timing for her, since:

1. she's on maternity leave now. shldn't her chargeability b affected cos of tt? after all, we had to take in leave and MC in our denominator, so why shld she be left out?

2. all of us hv to attain a certain no. of hrs for the fin. yr. She has to fulfil around 100-200 hrs lesser than us, cos she is still pursuing her ACCA. But, hello..aren't u supposed to b qualified to b working here in the 1st place?? even if it's not so, shldn't the playing ground b levelled more?

of cos she can attain her chargeability, since if she's not happy, she just toks ultra loudly, pinpointing yr mistakes out really loudly, such tt u feel stupid n lousy, n everyone will noe wat kind of dumb mistakes u made..

i mean wat kind of person will 'smile' at u n say 'i dun noe wat u were tinking of when u were doing this...'. grr...

rite, so i hv charged 311.9 (want to buy 4D?) hrs..n i hv to charge 974.3 (again, 4D?) hrs more before 30 june. Shld b attainable, but i just like to gripe about it now.

in any case, like wat i told my colleague, wat is the worse ting tt can happen if we dun attain our target? will they fire us? well, tink b4 they do, i will quit 1st lah..tink chargeability is the worse ting about working in an accounting firm..

The First Step

Decided to join the gang in blogging, since I must let all you pple out there know what's happening in my life (non-existent as it may be) too, rite? I can't only read about all yr lives..which just happens to surround exams now aniwae.

Aniwae, must encourage me to write more in this blog k...but dun mind me if i start rambling away about nothing in particular...

Rite, the title of tis blog came about bcos BELIEF is important..belief in yrself, belief in the basic gdness of mankind, belief in life (tt everything isn't as bad as wat it seems).

Oh well, in general, it's just an inspiring title for me personally. Quite bo liaoz mayb..=)

K, to end off this 1st post of mine, i m proud to announce tt i hv just received the SDU letter from MCYS. As long as i dun opt out, i m in the club..wonderful? hahah...

Nothing much happening now, except tt i m alternating between feeling bored with nothing to do, or busy with too many things to do. There's no balance in life...
