Friendships & Ties that Bind

1st of all, for details of how we crossed year 2004 to 2005, pls read Aki's (most detailed), followed by Greenie's blog, then Spinkypinkie's one, to get a full picture. Hee, i knew i nid not type anything out if i m 'slow' enuff, cos someone else will hv typed it out! hahah...

Tink the crossover was an exceptionally memorable one this yr, bcos:

1. People who dun usually turn up, turned up n stayed for the nite (meaning Mel). We caught up on so much in tt 1 hr or so, when the rest of the grp were playing King game. Really missed chatting with her, cos when i was still studying, we inevitably ended up on icq, tokking, complaining and gossiping about tings. Then when i started working, and she went for exchange etc, tings just fell apart, n we didn't tok as often, n even if we did, it was quite superficial. But cos of tt 1+ hr, when both of us were quite seh, we act tokked about everything under the sun, (oops, i mean, moon)!

2. i was touched tt greenie commemorated our 10th-yr of frenship by giving each of us an ez-link card, which she designed, weathered all sorts of hardships (very kua zhang hor?) n went to great extent to print. I mean, WOW!! it's act a card with all our names on it, with a very big CHOIR across the card. it's more than just a mere card..she really put her heart n soul into it, just to foster our frenships even further! (act, i m kinda ashamed tt i didn't participate as enthu as i shld in the treasure hunt, but i was really pretty seh. my apologies, greenie. but i did work my mind, although my physical self didn't move in tandem to my mental self.)

3. It was cool to get thru the nite tog, n had a gd but short rest after everyone just plain passed out. If my memory dun fail me, i tink it's the 1st slumberparty we hv tt virtually everyone turned up for, n stayed thru the nite, n lasted thru till the afternoon! I mean, all the 21st bdae parties tt we had, didn't really impact me tis much, mayb cos there were other frens involved as well, so the attention wasn't solely on our grp.

4. mayb we dun express ourselves physically by hugging, or verbally..but i tink deep in each of our hearts, we really appreciate tis circle of frens tt we hv, who we can always rely on to have fun with us. n whom we dun nid to worry tt we look stupid in front, or tired, or ugly, cos we all noe one another for so long alr! n even if tings get worse in future, in the sense, no time to cactch up as much, or when pple drift to their partners etc (for tt, i m proud tt Aki doesn't abandon us tt much for her Liang), we all noe tt we will still be there for one another when the need arises.

I can even see us gathering for our 50th yr of frenship, when we are 62 yrs old! let's work towards tt k!!
